A FAMILY RECIPE

A short documentary exploring stories of the connection between food, memory, and resilience in the kitchens of Bulgarian women.
Their recipes carry generations of lived history, keeping alive the tastes and traditions passed from grandmother to mother to daughter.

These culinary traditions will be brought to life a 20-minute documentary weaving together the stories of three pairs of women - grandmothers and granddaughters or mothers and daughters - whose lives were shaped by the turbulent 20th century in Bulgaria.

The project will culminate in a multimedia exhibition held in Tranzit House in Romania, combining collected audio stories, archival materials, and artifacts, offering audiences a sensory journey into history, memory, and resilience.
